How do I import accounts using a URL (OTPAuth)?

If your two-factor authentication (2FA) accounts are stored in another app or service that provides an OTPAuth URL (also known as a Key URI), you can import them directly into the Authenticator App. This method is useful when you have access to the setup link or exported data instead of a QR code.

Here’s how to do it using a URL:

  1. Get the OTPAuth URL:
From your current authenticator app or service, locate and copy the OTPAuth URL (Key URI). This is usually provided when exporting accounts or viewing advanced 2FA settings.

  2. Open the Authenticator App by 2Stable.

  3. Add a new account:
Tap the + (plus) icon and select the URL import option.

  4. Paste the URL:
Paste the OTPAuth URL or Key URI into the input field.

  5. Save the account:
Tap Save to add the account to the Authenticator App. The Authenticator App will start generating verification codes automatically.

ℹ️ Tip: The URL option is meant for importing accounts that are already set up with 2FA in another app or service. For new accounts, use QR codes or secret keys to link them directly to the Authenticator App. Learn more here.
