How do I share a Group in the Authenticator App?

Sharing a group lets you securely share your two-factor authentication codes with family or team members, while keeping full control over access.

⚠️ Your Personal group cannot be shared.

🤝 Here’s how to share a group:

1. Open the Authenticator App.

2. Find the Group you want to share.

3. Tap Manage Group.
   You can find this in the center of the screen. If the group already contains items, scroll down if needed to see the option.

4. Tap Add Member.
   A scanner window will appear, allowing you to:

   • Scan the new member’s Profile QR code, or

   • Tap File to import screenshot of the Profile QR code from your device.

5. Set the member’s permissions.
   You can choose whether they can edit items or view only.

6. Tap Done in the top right corner to save the changes.

❗Important: Only invite people you trust. Members you add will be able to access the items in this group. You can choose their permissions when adding them, and you can also change those permissions later.

Once a member is added, they will be able to access and, if allowed, edit everything in that shared group.

ℹ️ Note: The way items are displayed on a shared group may vary on each device, depending on settings such as newest to oldest, A to Z, or favorites.
